Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our natural Jagua Henna products and services.

What is the difference between Jagua and traditional Henna?

Traditional henna (Lawsonia inermis) produces a reddish-brown stain and comes from a shrub. Jagua is a natural fruit juice (Genipa americana) from the Amazon that produces a dark blue-to-black stain resembling a permanent tattoo, but without the harmful chemicals of 'black henna'.

How long does a Jagua Henna tattoo last?

A Jagua Henna tattoo typically lasts between 1 to 2 weeks. The longevity depends on your skin type, where the tattoo is placed on the body, and how well you follow our aftercare instructions.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, our Jagua Henna is 100% natural and skin-safe. However, since the fruit contains natural enzymes, we recommend that anyone with fruit allergies or sensitive skin performs a small patch test 24 hours before full application.

How should I store my Jagua Henna gel?

To maintain potency, Jagua gel must be stored in the freezer when not in use. It can be kept in the freezer for up to 6 months. Thaw it at room temperature for 30 minutes before application.

How long does shipping take?

We process orders within 1-2 business days. Domestic shipping typically takes 3-5 business days, while international shipping can take 7-14 business days depending on the destination and customs processing.

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

Due to the perishable and cosmetic nature of our products, we cannot accept returns once the seal is broken. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact our support team within 48 hours for a replacement.
